It never fails: I'll be walking around the UW campus for some reason by myself and SOMEONE will ask me for directions somewhere. It usually comes accross sounds like, "Excuse me do you know where kjhfdbvsblkgsk is?" I generally have to say, "nope. Sorry."
I must look like I know where things are. (Same in a bookstore. If I am in other BNs I get asked questions as well. Even if I am in normal clothes!)
