The joke at work today is that I am no loger the "Newsstand Lead" but am the "break lead" instead. Today I covered breaks. Here's a look at what my day was like:
7am-9am: Newsstand (putting magazines away)
9:00-9:15: My break
9:15-9:30: Music's break
9:30-10:00: Cafe's (2) breaks
10:00-10:30: Newsstand Time (stripping the magainzes I pulled earlier)
10:30-11:00: Cafe Lunch
11:00-11:30: Covered Cashier's Lunch
11:30-12:00: My lunch
12:00-12:30: Music's Lunch
12:30-1:00: Cafe's lunch
1:00-2:00: Cover Information so that person can go on lunch
2:00-2:15: My Break
2:15-2:30: Music Break
2:30-3:00: Cafe's (2) breaks
3:00-3:15: Information's Break
3:15-3:30: Clean up newsstand and go home.
My days as a "normal" bookseller used to look like this:
8:45am-5:15pm: Cashier
This is what happens when you know how to do everything! However I don't mind. The day went by quickly and I still get paid no matter where I am or what I am doing. (Either in Cafe, Music, Newsstand, Information or Cashiering. It keeps my day... interesting!)
