Merry Christmas

Good morning everyone and a Merry Christmas!
I've seen the numbers on this site (well, I do own it...) and I know there are a lot of you that read this. Both in RSS, and on Facebook as well as on the site itself. I hear from a certain number of you every so often but I also know there are a bunch of "silent partners" out there. I want to let you know that I appreciate all of you. I hope that you get something from this blog no matter who you are or where you might live.

I have a Christmas request to make of you, my reader. Could you take the time to go to the website (http://www.802heaven.com) and leave a comment on this post? I'd really consider it something like a Christmas card from you to me. Swing by, drop a little note and a signature and let me know you're out there. (EX: "Hey Ben, Merry Christmas. -The Farmers, Tulsa, OK) Facebook readers this means leaving Facebook to leave a comment. Please AND Thank you.

I'd really appreciate it. Thanks everyone and a Merry Christmas to everyone! (Whether I know you by name or not)

~B.

Who actually comments their code anymore? ...and if they do, it's all cryptic notes for their own reference or something you coulda figured out just by looking, not the REALLY useful notes, like WHAT DOES THE VARIABLE NAMED "XY" GET USED FOR AND WHERE IS IT INITIALIZED, ANYWAY???

Merry Christmas Ben and Lisa. I'm probably one of those more "silent partners." I know both of your parents well and we pray for you often in our adult Sunday school class, the Joint Heirs. Praying for God's strength for you to persevere through all He has allowed into your lives. The two of you amaze me with your grace and humility.

    Hi Ben,

Merry Christmas! I'm definitely a "silent reader", too. Not sure if you remember me - Christina Sjoquist - from Kings, but I stumbled upon your blog one day and it's been good to keep up with how you're doing. We're praying for you, too. Also....I'm in Houston quite often because I play with the Houston Grand Opera orchestra. (I went to grad school at Rice and lived 2 blocks away from the med center.)

    Anyways, merry Christmas!

    Hi Ben & Lisa!

I'm a "silent partner" from Newport, Washington: Joel & Shelley's mom! Remember when you came by for a visit before you were married??!!! I check your blog a couple times a month and pray for you two! What a journey God has taken you on, and what insight He is giving you along the way! He is with you through all of it!

Joel & Heather were with us for a week--the first Christmas they've had with us at our home! Just left this morning (Wednesday) in a snowstorm, hoping to make it to Seattle by this evening for a get-together at Nate & Kate's!

God's blessings on you in the new year!

    Chris (and Lee) Shaver

  26. Merry Christmas, and more currently, Happy New Year! We think of you often and we're grateful we get to see you in January. And we still regret you didn't get to visit us in Glasgow when this all started.

  27. Ben and Lisa - I just got around to catching up on the blog, but I do follow it - I'm kind of one of those "silent partners", but as always you guys are in my thoughts and prayers. I know you had kind of a weird Christmas, but you always seem to make the most of your situation - which is great!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, and have a great trip to Seattle.

  28. So I'm a little behind on reading your posts, but I wanted to respond to your request. I hope you had a Merry Christmas and are currently enjoying your trip to Seattle.
