The book: Go out and find yourself a copy and enjoy some entertaining summer reading!
The movie: If you want to see it just pretend it doesn't share a title with a book. You might enjoy it.
We saw Timeline on the way back to Boston from London. My assessment: fine as an in-flight movie and fairly true to the book, but some things are fine as books and don't need movie versions. This was one. Enjoyable but not overly interesting as a movie. Books can't be beat.
Anybody looking forward to seeing Spider Man 2?
Also, Ben, is the countdown self-updating or do you have to change it manually?
Actually the movie was horribly not anything like the movie. Spiderman 2 is a must. Not sure when I'll get to see it though. We should work something out. Anyway, work is now over. I'll maybe say more when I get home in an hour.
Mmm Ok you're right. It's been a while since I read the book (at least a year) and let's just say watching movies over the middle of the Atlantic on 3"-wide-screens isn't conducive to careful observation. There's also something about "flight attendants" solicitously inquiring if you'd like more water, and would you like ice with that?
We should definitely see it. Figuring a time out would be good.
