Adventures in Grilling... Part 3

In this episode of "Adventures in Grilling" we find our Hero's wife making a marinade... lets watch:

"Ben, do you want to try a kind of honey mustardish marinade for this pork tenderloin we bought?"
"Ummm, maybe, you know I don't really like mustard at all."
"Lets try it!"

Fast forward...

"Ok, it's all put together, lets put this in the fridge to marinade!"

Due to some crazy time things our hero cannot grill that next night, so it ends up in the freezer where our hero pulls it out last night and lets it defrost whilst preparing his grill...

"Boy this grill is hot."

After some careful watching of the coals and rotating of the meat our hero determines that it is indeed fully cooked, and in it goes for dinner.

Our hero is surprised, this marinade he feared would taste like mustard is as he puts it, "The best thing we have ever grilled."

That said he must share the recipe with you:

2 pounds pork tenderloin
2/3 cup honey
1/2 cup Dijon mustard
1/4 teaspoon chili powder (we used a couple handfuls of pepper flakes instead, not having chili powder)
1/4 teaspoon of salt

Combine together in a large plastic bag and add meat to marinade. (Instructions say 4 hours, but ours was longer, combined with a time in the freezer. long = good)

I grilled this so that it formed a nice crust around the meat and the sugars carmelized a bit. I then moved it to a more indirect heat and let it cook more.

It was pretty darn good. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to try it. (Or maybe we'll have you over sometime to try it...)
