CT Scan 2

I'll be going into the hospital today at 3pm (PST) to get my 2nd CT scan. They'll make me drink a bunch of liquid and then probably an hour to an hour and a half later they'll toss me onto a bed, move me to the scanning room plug some radio active material into me then spend a couple of minutes with the machine making strange sounds, and then it's all over. Pretty simple process. (even easier if they aren't scanning your abdomen) It's not the CT scan that has me worried this morning, I am in fact thinking about Tuesday morning at 10:20am when I hear the results of the scan. There are almost an unlimited number of scenarios that I can run through my mind that the doctor will tell me tomorrow.

I covet your prayers. I'm going to go spend some time in God's Word right now. I need to ask God for His peace because I sure can't generate any kind of calm on my own!

May His peace fill you and surround you and overwhelm you in unexpected ways during the next 24 hours. That is the prayer I am offering for you many times today and tomorrow. God bless.

  3. "Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you." (I Peter 5:6-7)
Ben, I can't imagine the weight of the burden you carry into tomorrow's appointment. The only comfort I can offer is the knowledge that He has promised to carry our burdens out of love. Don't ever forget that God molded you with a perfect, love-filled plan in mind. Our prayers are with you today, tomorrow, and beyond.
