Thinking of Babylon

Things in the hospital today have been pretty mild, side effects and what-not, and thus I've had some free time to do some thinking. There is a clock above a picture in my room that I stare at, and watch the seconds, minutes, hours tick by. And as I look at this clock I can't help but think of Babylon. Forgive me my geekery for a second, but I am drawn to thoughts of Babylon because we get 60 seconds in a minute from Babylon. The Babylonians used a base-60 number system, which is where we get 60 minutes and 60 seconds, etc. And that was my thinking today on Babylon.

The nurses and technicians have all been exceptionally nice these past couple days. I've been able to eat more food than last time I was on chemo, and I've been watching more Mariner's games. I would appreciate continued prayers for minimal side effects and continued decreased nausea.

I would also like to thank everyone who has stopped by and hung out at the hospital while I've been here (I can't say anything to the people who have hung out while I haven't been here). I appreciate all the time that people have spent to come and talk and keep me company. It's really done a lot for my spirits, and helps me remember that there is life outside of the hospital. Lisa reads to me emails I get, so don't hesitate to write if you want to say something.

Thank you all again for your support!
