I was reading Philippians 1 this morning, because I grabbed my bible and randomly flipped it open, mainly because my attitude about this week was horrible and it hadn't even started yet. I was thinking I needed to refocus and God really helped me out. Philippians 1:18-26 is what I came across this morning. It contains the verse I have quoted here before, "To live is Christ, die gain." (Philippians 1:21)
It reminded me (the whole section 18 through 26) that I currently serve here by the grace of God and that living is to benefit you all, and if God sees fit to end my life, anytime for any reason, that you all will benefit more from that than my life. It's a hard reality to live with. I'm here for you and when I can do more good dead God will make it happen. But I guess that is the case with any of us... weather we realize that or not. That said, don't hesitate to email me or contact me if you want to chat, I am here anytime for any reason.
That helped my attitude a bit this morning. A bit of humble pie from Philippians.
