Weekend at the hospital

Today I can be more brief. Ben has more energy, to both recover and to cough. He probably won't be getting a stent in the esophagus because the risk of having it descend into his stomach and intestines is much greater than the swallowing problems he is experiencing. His hemoglobin is low, so a little night blood transfusion was about to occur when I left. Everything else seems to be improving, but the last Ben heard was that he might be released on Wednesday. Hmm, hopefully sooner than that.
