Our database at work is changing from a proprietary database to Postgre SQL. Now I don't know SQL but it seems like it's somewhat all the rage these days so I asked a friend of mine, who is handy with the computer languages, how easy it is to learn Postgre.
him: How's your SQL?
me: I would say rusty, but they would have had to be polished and shiny at one point to be rusty now. So lets say it's unmined ore in the ground.
Thanks to the W3Schools I'm learning to mine that ore. (BTW: the W3S is also where I picked up my CSS "skills". Great site BTW.)

Agreed.
ReplyDeleteW3Schools is a great site. I've used it as a reference for VBscripting I've done.
Good luck with your mining! :)
It's not "postgre". It's "postgres". Pronounce SQL properly as "ess cue ell", and you'll see that it's "post gres cue ell", which is shortened to "postgres".
ReplyDeleteRight... err Postgres... I could have sworn I double checked that. (Obviously not)
ReplyDeleteThats for the SQL lesson. I hope that won't count against me in the long-run.
