Sitting on the couch in our condo all week long is good for recoverying from hospital visits. Everything I would need is close by. However when these weekends come where Lisa and I can get away from the condo and spend some time together and I can spend some time looking at something other than the condo I really look forward to getting away.
Thus Lisa and I will be getting away this weekend.
Yesterday I was able to eat some soup that had noodles and chicken in it. So it looks like we're moving onto solid food. Mouth is still a touch on the sore side, I still can't have bread, but I am looking forward to trying Teryaki for lunch today.
Thank you all for you love and support, and continued prayers. We're off to a great weekend!

Hey Ben,
ReplyDeleteHang it in there.
Hope that all are being an encouragement to you. Wish I could stop by and give you some of my strength.
Jill called me a week or so ago and told me about your condition. Hope things are getting better...
"Shew me a token for good; that they which hate me may see it, and be ashamed: because thou, LORD, hast holpen me, and comforted me."
Ps. 86:17
Ben & Lisa,
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you are able to get away to the island this weekend. I hope you're having some beautiful weather up there - it's typical gorgeous down here in sunny SoCal :-)
Rolane and I are headed out to see Bryan, Cara and the boys later today. Next week we'll have Cara and the boys at our house for a couple of days while Byran is away on business, and at the end of the week we'll babysit the Lee kids so Will & Riva can get away to San Diego for a couple of days - alone :-)
We love you guys. Our prayers and those of our colleagues at Talbot & Biola are holding you both up before our gracious Lord. Give both sets of parents our greeting and assurance of our prayers.
