Romance advice?!?

I don't know if any of you have encountered people like this before, but I get it at work: You get people that feel the need to get little indepth progress on how your relationship is going with your girlfriend. (Beyond the standard "meh" or "fine" or "GREAT!") Only the way they judge things is by some here-to un-standardized standard. Let me elaborate:

"So, have you and Lisa had the "Pink Elephant with the grey wing" talk yet!?" And then they look at you with an all knowing look and then eagerly await your answer. Which ends up being, "The what!?" "The Pink Elephant with the grey wing talk!" They say in a way that denotes that you obviously aren't going to last long in this relationship if you don't know what THAT is.

People are just funny when it comes to stuff like that. My gues would be the attempt to live vicariously through someone else.

Oh, and for the record, I haven't had the "Pink Elephant with the grey wing" talk yet with Lisa. However I am sure it's inevitable should we ever consider getting married.

(Aside: I have no issues with people I know well asking after my relationship. It's just kind'a off at work if people want to go indepth, unless I feel confortable around them and have given them a blog or something like that.)
