Mesna Blues

I know a room so very small
It's down at the end of a very long hall
It's snugged right between 1579
Which is a number I've never found sublime

The TV is dark, and so high on the wall
I've a fear of being crushed, should it fall
There is also an image, an image so fine
If it weren't for its size, it would be mine

I'm all done with chemo for this round
But I've got to wait for this mesna,
I might as well choke it down

The mesna drip is so slow
And I want to go home... go home

I am officially done with chemo, however, I have to wait for the kidney/liver protectant (mesna) to complete. The doctor told me this could be sometime tomorrow, "earlier than normal." As it stands, I just want to get out of here. More later.

  1. I'm grateful for the Mesna. I know the process is long and tedious, but I'm certainly glad that stuff is protecting your kidneys and liver. It's really a gift from God.

Nearly 5 down! Whidbey and Lisa's party will be fun!!!
